Brief

Quin is a new healthcare service, pushing the digitalisation of GP care in the Netherlands. Its platform combines digital care, through an app, with physical care in connected GP practices.

Quin's goal is to significantly reduce the number of unnecessary visits to GPs and referrals. Our UX team at The Valley was asked to define, build & launch the MVP.

Context

Most care is a long & segmented journey through a confusing mix of people & places.

The Quin app is connected to GP & Specialist practices to orchestrate a new one stop shop for all care needs. Allowing GP's & specialists to provide more efficient care through their connected platform.

The Quin app uses machine learning to provide actionable insights and activities to improve your health. Giving you acces to a self diagnosis, video consults & personalised medical information. All your medical data is encrypted so you stay in control and only grant (temporary) access to others when you decide.

In a UX team of 3 my responsibility was defining & building the Medical library & search, the self diagnosis & GP services integration together with the development team & in-house medical experts.

Questions that we were dealing with:
– How not to alarm people but still communicate the urgency to visit the GP?
– How can we train our AI the best way through user input while maintaining result quality?
– How do we translate existing medical procedures (like triage) to a digital interface, where there are no humans involved?

Result

The app was successfully launched and now servicing 12 Quin Doctors practices throughout the Netherlands with 50,000 connected patients, who have already implemented or will implement Quin's digital innovations.

In January 2021 Quin acquired 25 million euro funding in its series A investment round.

Unfortunately most of my work is still under NDA. But you can view more information on the Quin website or download the app for iOS or Android and try it for yourself.
